Schools will be wrapping up their recruitment for the start of the new academic year in August and September. There are some teaching positions available for the more popular subjects including physics, chemistry and mathematics as well as for any no shows.
The coming quarter
Whilst the recruitment drive for the new academic year is nearly finalised, there might still be a few teaching posts available for the final few positions not yet filled as well as last-minute emergency replacements for those teachers who have signed, but for one reason or another cannot make it to China and for existing teachers that will not be returning after the summer holidays.
Executive recruitment
All senior leadership positions will by now have been filled. There will be some positions available for school start-ups, especially business development positions for educational institutes looking to enter the lucrative China education market.
Employer trends
Some schools have a preference for teachers able to educate in more than one curriculum as well as more than one subject.
Candidate trends
Candidate levels remain stable with no major changes.
