Medical Affairs Officers, Construction Managers and IT Mobility Platform Developers are among the candidates in hottest demand as we welcome 2013, with many employers now already starting to action their hiring needs in preparation for the year ahead, according to the Hays Quarterly Report.
According to the latest Quarterly Report, out now and covering January to March 2013, pockets of shortages for specific skills remain in a number of sectors including life sciences and IT.
“Some sectors have ambitious hiring plans for 2013, especially the life sciences industry which is interested in RPO solutions while others are looking to work with a few selected recruitment partners,” says Simon Lance, Regional Director of Hays in China.
“New employers in the life sciences sector, who are just starting up in China, are also looking to hire new talent. Most of them have found their general manager or country manager for China and are now looking for their first line of talent to start their business here.
“Employers are also looking for candidates who are strategic and can come up with creative solutions to problems. They are looking for the next generation of leaders to step up and take on the responsibility of making critical decisions.”
