To ensure the FBT provision represented the FBT payable at the end of the FBT year they established a process where the FBT calculations were prepared each month and at quarter end the provision was reconciled to the FBT calculations. This resulted in the FBT liability on lodgement of the return being in line with the provision, and FBT attributable to projects was able to be charged to clients on a regular basis.
They were responsible for ensuring the completion of all monthly reconciliations within fourteen days after month end to comply with SOX requirements, including overseeing and assisting team members.
